In the run up to the British General Election the Conservative Party have been accusing all other parties of having a magic money tree to fund their election promises, but have been keeping the location of their own magic money tree very quiet.

However, with Colombo like detective instincts, 180 Degrees News correspondent, Billy Shears went in search of this illusive tree. The clue was easy, examine the first foreign country that Theresa May visited after she became Prime Minister, and there it was on the emblem of Saudi Arabia.

Britain is now the second biggest arms dealer in the world – with most of the weapons fueling deadly conflicts in the Middle East. Since the Conservatives took power in Britain in 2010, the country has sold arms to 39 of the 51 countries ranked “not free” on the Freedom House “Freedom in the world” report, and 22 of the 30 countries on the UK Government’s own human rights watch list. The number one destination of weapons and training is Saudi Arabia and those weapons and training have been directly used in Yemen.

The Saudi-led coalition supplied and trained by Britain has bombed multiple international hospitals run by the charity Médecins Sans Frontières, as well as schools and wedding parties. Food factories have also been hit, as Yemen faces severe food shortages, with literally millions of children facing starvation. Human rights groups say there is evidence civilian targets are being deliberately hit.

Saudi Arabia has been widely linked to supporting armed extremist groups in Syria and elsewhere. These extremist groups and their social media propaganda have inspired terrorist attacks in the UK. Also Saudi Arabia has directly funded the spread of a fundamentalist version of Islam in the UK through financial support for Wahhabi literature and mosques.

Theresa May was asked by Billy Shears, if she wins the general election would she be putting profit over lives? A hard shake of the Saudi money tree through massive arms sales would kill innocents in Yemen, strengthen ISIS and ultimately threaten Britain. Unlike Saudi Arabia, as Britain is a democracy, do voters for the Conservatives realise they will have blood on their hands?

Theresa May replied, ‘Errrr, hey look over there, isn’t that Jeremy Corbyn with that Sinn Fein politician? How can you vote for someone that chums up with people that support terrorists that then threaten our country? What we need to fight terrorism is something softy Corbyn has always been against, ripping up human rights laws so we have the authority to snoop on everyone and stamp out all threats to our Conservative government, I mean to our free way of life, without any meddling judicial oversight.

Anyway, it’s the Labour party and the SNP that have a magic money tree, not us. They are delusional. We are the strong and stable party. We do not need a magic money tree as we have the BREXIT rainbow leading to an assured pot of gold’.
