Robb Elementary School will not be the first to be razed following a horrific shooting. Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, was destroyed in 2012 when 20 students and six staff members were shot. On the same plot of land, a new school was built.
The Texas Department of Public Safety announced on Tuesday that there were enough cops on the scene in Uvalde to apprehend the gunman three minutes after he entered the facility. However, officers waited for more than an hour outside classrooms before entering.
